Every year on the first Saturday in May since 2001 or so is FCBD.
All across the country (and possibly into Canada and the UK.) Comic book fans and general consumers alike will be lining up for their choice of one or more FREE comic books.
That's right this Saturday, May 6th 2017 is Free Comic Book Day (FCBD). You can go to your local participating comic shop this Saturday only and pick up free stuff for the low-low cost of absolutely no money what-so-ever.
Many shops will also be having events such as a costume show, contests, drawings, and more, all for free.
I would really like to encourage everyone here to go. This year will be featuring the first issue of a ST:TNG series with a story arch seemingly to take place in the Mirror Universe. (Data with Borg parts? What!?) Within the scope of the TV show there has never been a TNG episode taking place in the Mirror Universe, and you get to enjoy part one of the series absolutely free.
If you are interested but don't know if you have a comic shop near you, please go to: http://www.comicshoplocator.com/ and enter in your zip-code. Once there you can also find a link to the FCBD website and find a list with previews of the comics that may be available.
If you have any questions, or do not have a comic shop within an acceptable driving distance of you please contact your furendly neighborhood "Dog-tor Fuzzy-butt."
